You are using Securaze Work to erase Macbooks, but battery test results differ depending on the model? Here's why.

 

If you are running Work Linux on Intel Macs

Battery health will be calculated based on the Battery Design Capacity and the current Battery Capacity.
It is a percentage value from 100 (perfect) to 0 (non-functional).

If you are running Work macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon Macs)

For Original Apple Smart Battery
We retreive the health value the battery provides.

Check the condition of your Mac notebook’s battery

  • Normal: The battery is functioning normally.

  • Service recommended: The battery is performing normally, but its ability to hold a charge is less than when it was new. You may want to consider replacing the battery.

For Non-OEM Battery
We will fallback to the Work Linux method if both Battery Design Capacity and the current Battery Capacity are provided by the battery.
