Update Security Certificate on macOS (Mac Intel / Apple Silicon)
If you’re using the Catalina 4.8.8 Work macOS image to process Intel-based Macs, you’ll need to update both the security certificate (first step), and then also the Securaze Work client (to version 5.9.9).
While the client can be updated automatically or manually (see steps here), the certificate must be replaced manually — it’s available for download here, or you can request it via email at support@securaze.com
This first step (certificate update) is essential to ensure all communications and operations within Securaze remain trusted and fully compliant with our latest system integrity standards. Without updating the certificate, older Catalina-based Work images will fail to authenticate correctly, resulting in login and operation errors.
Below are the instructions for updating the certificate on your Catalina OS bootable SSD:
Instructions
Boot your Securaze Work Catalina 4.8.8 SSD on a Mac Intel machine
Download the certificate zip file (or copy it over using a USB stick for example
Open Finder, navigate to Applications, then to folder Utilities, and finally open Terminal
Type in sudo -s (press Enter)
Type in your Mac user password (it is usually “admin” for Catalina Work 4.8.8) (Press Enter)
Drag & drop the certificate script file install_certificates.sh into Terminal
Once the changes are made, run the Securaze Work macOS application and the automatic update to Work 5.9.9 will commence.
