How to Set Up DYMO Label Printing in Securaze

Securaze supports printing labels via DYMO USB printers. Currently, Windows is supported.
On Linux, DYMO label printing is not supported yet.

🖥 Windows Setup

Install DYMO Connect
- Download and install DYMO Connect.
- This is required for creating and saving label templates and to install the required USB printer drivers.
Create your label in DYMO Connect
- Open DYMO Connect.
- Design your label and insert placeholders where needed (see below for available placeholders).
  Example usage inside .dymo file:
  <Text>${Vendor}</Text> <Text>${Model}</Text>
- Save the label as .dymo file.
Upload to Securaze Dashboard
- Go to Settings → Label Templates.
- Click Create New.
- Select the Product Type:
  - PC Product
  - Mobile Product
  - Storage Product
- Select the Purpose:
  - Erasure
  - Diagnose
  - Combined
- Copy the XML content of your .dymo file into the Data field.
- Choose Format = DYMO.
- Save the template.
Printer settings
- On your Windows client, connect your DYMO printer via USB.
- In Settings / Printers:
  - Create a new Printer with Printer type = DYMO / USB
  - Preselect the desired label template.
Mobile Client
- Within the mobile client goto General Settings / Printer (F9)
- If needed enable the Print Server (Attention: its not possible to use printer agent + Command acting as printer agent in parallel)
- Choose the local connected printer from the dropdown (the one which was created before in Dashboard)

DYMO label rendering requires DYMO Connect SDK, which is only available on Windows/macOS.
