Add photos of the device to the PDF report

Securaze Dashboard has the ability to store photos you take to capture optical condition of the devices you process (erase / diagnose) and include these photos in the PDF report that is generated at the end of the processing session. You can also add photos after the processing was completed, and generate a new report manually.

Whichever method you use to add photos (Securaze Dashboard or Securaze Motion application), it is important to complete the configuration in Securaze Dashboard, in order to include photos in the PDF reports. The steps are as follows:

  1. Log in to Securaze Dashboard

  2. Go to Settings, then click on Report customization, and then on tab REPORT DATA. Next to your report information set, click on “Report data details” button:

  3. Make sure the check the boxes to add photos to erasure and / or diagnose report, as well as to select the photo layout (2x2 or 3x3):

  4. Click on “Save” button.

  5. Make sure this Report information set is used in the Order to which the devices you will process belong to. This is done by going to Logistics - Orders, and then clicking on “Order details” button:

 Add photos using Securaze Dashboard:

  1. Take photos of the device you will process using your phone camera.

  2. Introduce the device to Securaze system (if you are using Securaze Work, boot it on your PC device and log in using your Securaze user credentials; if you are using Securaze Mobile, plug in the mobile device and allow the connection, until the mobile device status is “Ready” in the UI card), so that the device is visible in Securaze Dashboard.

  3. Log in to Securaze Dashboard (you can use your phone if you want to add photos directly from the phone gallery, or you can transfer the photos to a PC and use the PC to log in to Securaze Dashboard).

  4. Click on “Product details” button next to the asset in All assets table:

  5. Click on tab MEDIA, then on “Upload photos” button:

  6. Drag and drop photos to the marked field, or click on it to browse your gallery and select photos for upload:

  7. Once you have added the photos, click on “Save” button.

  8. You will see the media uploaded, and the message “Media saved successfully” in the bottom right corner:

 Add photos using Securaze Motion application:

  1. Download the Securaze Motion application to your smartphone, available in both App Store (Apple) and Google Play (Android).

  2. Introduce the device you want to erase / diagnose to Securaze system (if you are using Securaze Work, boot it on your PC device and log in using your Securaze user credentials; if you are using Securaze Mobile, plug in the mobile device and allow the connection, until the mobile device status is “Ready” in the UI card), so that the device is visible in Securaze Dashboard.

  3. Open the Motion app on your smartphone by tapping on the Motion icon:

  4. Enter your Securaze user credentials, and make sure to select the correct region (Europe, USA West, APAC), then click on “Login” button:

  5. Click on “Upload” button:

  6. Click on Scan QR button:

  7. a. If you are using Securaze Work, once you have booted the application on the target device, you can go to Device Summary tab (F1) to scan the QR code:

    b. If you are using Securaze Mobile, once you have connected the mobile device to the Mobile station, and the UI card status is “Ready”, click on Information tab on the UI card, and then on tab OTHER. You will see the QR code, ready to be scanned:

    c. You can alternatively find the device in Securaze Dashboard, by logging in to Securaze Dashboard in your internet browser, searching for the device, and then click on “Product details” button:

    Once you open Product details, you can place the cursor (mouse pointer) on the small QR code in the upper right corner, and it will display the QR code in a bigger format:

  8. Scan the QR code using the Securaze Motion app QR scanner.

  9. As soon as the scan is successful, device information will be displayed in the top section of the screen. Click on “Camera” button to capture photos:

  10. Camera will open, and you will be able to capture photos by pressing on the camera icon in the middle of the bottom of the screen:

  11. Once you are done taking photos, click on check mark button to the right of the photo capture button.

  12. You will be brought back to the screen with information, and you will be able to see the number of photos captured (“Already taken”). Click on “Upload” button:

  13. If the upload was successful, you will see a message “Media successfully uploaded” displayed at the bottom of the screen:

  14. You can now complete your erasure / diagnose, and the photos will be included in the PDF report.

  15. In case you have completed the processing (erasure / diagnose) first, and then afterward added the photos to the asset, all you need to do is generate a new report manually, by following these steps:

    a. Log in to Securaze Dashboard.
    b. Find the asset, and click on “Product details” button.
    c. Go to tab REPORTS, select the tab ERASURE REPORT or DIAGNOSE REPORT (whichever action you performed that initiated report generation), and click on “Generate new report” button:

    d. You can also do this action in bulk, either in All Assets table, by filtering out specific time frame, and then clicking on “Export filtered data” button:

    or for the whole Order / Lot / Sale lot, by navigating to Logistics, then Order / Lot / Sale lot, and click on “Create collection” button next to the batch you want new reports for:

    For both options, a pop up window will open, where you can select whether you want to download the new reports, or send a download link to your email. Make sure to select PDF reports, and “Generate new reports” checkbox!

    After you click on Download, new PDF reports will be generated, stored in the Securaze Dashboard, and optionally downloaded as a zipped folder.
